Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question about our services or how we work? Some of the questions we are most commonly asked are answered below. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to get in touch – we are always happy to help.
Still Have Questions?
If your question is not answered here, please give us a call or complete the contact form, and a member of our team will get back to you.
How do I know which legal service I need?
If you are unsure where to start, simply get in touch, and we will point you in the right direction. We will take the time to understand your situation and make sure you are speaking with the right member of our team from the outset.
How much will legal fees cost?
Costs vary depending on the nature and complexity of your matter. We are committed to being transparent about fees from the start, and we will always provide a clear indication of costs before any work begins. Where fees are likely to change during the course of a matter, we will let you know as soon as possible.
How long does a legal matter take?
Timescales depend on the type of work involved and the circumstances of your case. A straightforward conveyancing transaction will follow a different timeline to a contested dispute, for example. We will give you a realistic expectation at the outset and keep you updated throughout.
Do I need to visit a law office in person?
Not necessarily. Many matters can be handled by phone or email, and we are happy to work in whatever way suits you best. Where a face-to-face meeting is needed or preferable, we have five offices across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, and we will do our best to accommodate you at a location that is convenient.
Are my discussions with a lawyer kept confidential?
Yes. Everything you discuss with us is treated in strict confidence. As solicitors, we are bound by professional and legal obligations of confidentiality, and you can be assured that your personal information and the details of your matter will never be shared without your consent.
